I went travelling for a few days, a decision I now regret because I’ve come back with a shit storm of work raining down on me, and travel has a tendency of getting me sick in the end. But I’m going to ignore the fact that my nose is an open faucet and write about the beauty of the cities I visited, whilst I’m at work. After all, beauty is meant to be appreciated.
I did go for a combination of Opera and Orchestra in Vienna, but I couldn’t appreciate it as much as I would have wanted to. I’ve grown up with a lot of Bollywood and a pinch of classic rock, which makes it difficult for me to appreciate such an art form. It was worth the experience though.

Firstly, Vienna is nothing like it’s portrayed in Letters to Juliet (there are no warm filters applied to your field of vision, otherwise it is quite beautiful). I was unable to appreciate the place as much as one should due to 2 reasons: my luggage hadn’t arrived leaving me with a single pair of underwear (the one I wore) and I was PMSing. If you’re a woman about to leak, you know that no luggage and PMS is the worst combination of all time. I did, however, get a chance to see my favourite painting of all time, The Kiss by Gustav Klimt and that makes up for most of the mishaps during the trip. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not nearly as culturally aware as I want to be but The Kiss is a painting I have loved for years for no particular reason . It depicts the serenity of the kind of love I once believed in, the expression of the woman and the melting away of everything else does that for me. I could stare at it for hours. So many of Klimt’s works inspire me, there are absolutely no words for the emotion he captures with his brush. Favourite Moment Number 1 has been established.

Schonbrunn Palace was rich in culture and the gardens were gorgeous. Sitting in the gardens and enjoying the view was my Favourite Moment Number 2. I was exhausted, my feet were killing me as were all the other parts of my body but the breeze was cold and the view was spectacular. That was enough for me to be a happy soul, even if it was momentary.

It is on days like these I am the happiest
So that’s about it. I had two days to walk around the city of Vienna and submerge myself in the culture and the beauty. It was exhausting, but it was worth it. Totally worth it.
I don’t know the name of this place, but it made for a beautiful photograph
Just like the old days

Yes, it’s me on a good day. Don’t judge me for liking my face. God.
This was really good! Mom’s been hankering after me to write about the trip but now I don’t have to! Yay!!!
Hahahahahaha! Ek teer se do nishaan.
I think it’s the Cathedral, the one where you can climb the north tower.
